I have always known you as Pa, never got to meet you but I know your child Gaynor and all I can say is thank you for bringing up a wonderful human being, I know she is a mirror of her daddy and I know u loved her very much, your legacy lives through your children. I will always remember you as Gaynors Pa, you will be missed but I know you watching over your family. Until we meet one day, RIP Pa Francis.

Rest in peace Pops/daddy. My dad always wanted to be known as Brian Edmund William Francis - Brian Francis, the man, is what you see is what you get and usually the centre of a party. He loved dancing, giving advice to friends and family. He at most times he had a video camera with him to catch an important event or milestone like the demolition of the Athlone Power Station, any celebrations or a sporting event of his grand kids in action. There are many weddings, birthday celebrations, matric balls, etc. that he video recorded for over 30 years as UB Digital Video Productions creating that special memory for all. A father, pa, friend, mentor and work colleague in a million. People loved him as a person - he was always full of dry humour and his jokes became known as the "Francis Jokes". A holder of Western Province Ballroom Champions titles with my mom Una Francis as his partner. Gonna really miss him and, dad, I will always love you, the one who treasured and looked after his family and everybody he was in contact with or with him. Wow what a human being, husband, father, pa to grand and great grand children, friends, working colleagues and all that knew him.

Dear Gaynor and family, it was such a honour to witness your Dad's beautiful send off. Thank you for making this possible,
it was moving and meaningful. Hold on to the wonderful memories for comfort and always remember how much you are loved. Lots of love and hugs 🌹❤️

To the Francis Families, my heartfelt condolences.

 Thank you for sharing your wonderful dad with the world. The home going service was beautiful, powerful & emotional. The words & music choices were exactly what we all needed to hear and the emotion felt from those words solidified the relationship we all need to have with Jesus Christ. May your dad’s legacy carry on in each of you and may his memory strengthen you all daily.

We grieve because they are no longer on earth, but we rejoice because they are finally home!

My heart goes out to you Una & families with your great loss of Brian. Thank you for making it possible for us to partake in the service through live streaming.  I wish I had known Brian better but I only knew you briefly from church. I pray that God will surround you with His Love & Peace at this time. 💕🙏💕

Brian, a gentle and caring person - a ready smile and twinkle in his eye. Personally I will always remember him as a courageous man, faced as he was with some real health challenges in the last few years of his life. Brian was also immensely proud of his family and with good cause. They truly honored him in the most wonderful way in his funeral. He will be sorely missed and will, I am sure, have been welcomed into Heaven with the words of our Lord, 'Well done, good and faithful servant, enter now into thy rest'.

Proverbs 6:23:For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Let us go to God in fasting, prayer and supplication as the Israelites did in the times when they needed God to hear them. For the next 7 days, let us give up our time of celebration for the new year, of eating well and merriness and ask God for His forgiveness, for God to hear our voice when we call on His name.

My Dearest friend Gaynor, Mrs Francis, Garth, Ashley, Hugh and Families, what a Beautiful Service. You are all so so Brave. Heart goes out to your Mom.💖 I know you are All going to miss your Dad so much. We will Definitely miss him too. Your parents were one of the couples I so Admired. I don't think I ever saw them arguing. Not once. They are true Roll models. I will miss your Dad's hugs and kisses. And his charm. So sweet and gentle he was. Rest well Mr Francis. Una, we would like to share our condolences with you and your family for the passing of Brian. While we may be far away in Melbourne Australia, I, Michael can assure you that I have fond memories of Brian of his earlier years and we have kept you and your family in our prayers. May God grant you peace during this difficult time and courage in the years ahead.

I speak on behalf of the entire Taft family, Noel and his brothers will always recall how your dad was akways cool, relaxed and wonderful to everyone who frequented your home whilst you were growing up. I fondly remember the fun parties where Uncle Brian would be dancing in the circle and give the young men a run for their money. We’re thinking of you in your hour of grief. The kind, selfless nature of your father made him a joy to be around. He and Aunty Una is an example of a strong beautiful marriage. We love you Uncle Brian, you will forever be missed.
